Mercy is at home on a Friday night getting ready to go out with some friends when a stranger breaks into her home and strangles her. Shocked, she doesn’t know what to do and flails around helplessly as the intruder keeps a relentless hold on her throat. She struggles and ultimately fails, collapsing onto the couch.

The next day she is found by a neighbor and brought into the morgue for examination. The coroner begins by unzipping the bag and and breaking rigor in her arms, legs, and fingers, so that she is a little more mobile and easy to work with. Then he strips her of her clothing, keeping it for evidence. He thoroughly checks the body, taking fingerprints, checking her mouth and vagina, and samples from her hair.

The coroner flips the body over to check both sides thoroughly, taking photos from every angle to be used later as evidence. He flips her back over and sits her up to check the back of her neck, and then sends the body in for funeral prep.
